Submerged arc automatic welding process

Jan 20, 2019

The welding quality is high. The slag insulation air has good protection effect. The welding parameters can be stabilized by automatic adjustment. The technical level of the welder is not high, the weld composition is stable, and the mechanical properties are better. Good working conditions In addition to reducing the labor intensity of manual welding operations, it has no arc radiation, which is a unique advantage of submerged arc welding wire and flux. Currently used mainly for welding various steel plate structures. Weldable steel grades include carbon structural steel, stainless steel, heat resistant steel and composite steel. Submerged arc welding wire and flux are most widely used in shipbuilding, boilers, chemical containers, bridges, lifting machinery, metallurgical machinery manufacturing, marine structures, and nuclear power equipment.

In addition, it is also desirable to use a submerged arc welding wire and a flux to weld a wear-resistant corrosion-resistant alloy or to weld a nickel-based alloy. In the process of automatic submerged arc welding, the process of igniting arc, wire feeding, arc moving along the welding direction and welding receiving tail is completely completed by machinery. After the flux 2 flows out of the funnel 3, it is evenly piled up on the assembled workpiece 1, and the welding wire 4 is fed into the welding arc zone by the wire feeding mechanism via the wire feeding roller 5 and the contact tip 6. Both ends of the welding power source are respectively connected to the contact tip and the workpiece. The wire feeding mechanism, the flux funnel and the control panel are usually mounted on a trolley to effect the movement of the welding arc.
