State classification

According to the contact state between adjacent wires in the strand, it is divided into three types: point contact, line contact or surface contact.

1 point contact wire rope welding wire: the diameter of the wire in the strand is the same, the angle between the wires of each layer is the same, and the lay length is different, so the inner and outer wires cross each other and are in point contact state.

Wire-wound wire for 2-wire contact: The lay length of each layer of wire in the strand is the same, the inner and outer wires are in contact with each other on a spiral line, which is in line contact state. Under the same conditions of use, the service life of wire contact wire rope welding wire is longer than that of point contact wire rope welding wire.

3 Compaction wire rope welding wire, formerly known as surface contact wire rope welding wire, wire rope welding wire in the process of tanning, after forging, drawing, etc., the steel wire forms a contact surface, including strand compaction, wire rope welding wire pressure Real and rope strands are compacted.

4 Sealed wire rope welded steel wire: The outer layer is made of special-shaped steel wire, including T-shaped S-shaped Z-section steel wire, with smooth surface and good wear resistance. Compared with other types of wire rope welded steel wire of the same diameter, the tensile strength is better. Large, and able to withstand lateral pressure, but poor flexibility, complex process, high manufacturing costs, often used as load-bearing cables, such as cable cranes and cables on aerial ropeways.
