The submerged arc welding wire and the small wheel of the flux machine should have good insulation. The wire should be well insulated. During the working process, the wire should be straightened to prevent twisting and being burned by the slag.The control box and welder housing should be reliably grounded (zero) and protected against leakage. The terminal block cover must be covered.

During the welding process, care should be taken to prevent the flux from suddenly stopping the supply and a strong arc exposed to burn the eyes. Therefore, ordinary protective glasses should be worn during the welding industry.

The welding head of semi-automatic submerged arc welding shall have a fixed place to prevent short circuit.The components of the submerged arc welding wire and the flux flux contain substances such as manganese oxide which are harmful to the human body. Although it does not produce visible smoke like hand arc welding, it will produce a certain amount of harmful gases and vapors. Therefore, it is best to have local exhaust ventilation at the work location.
